Tuesday, November 1st

08:30-14:30    Visit to Big River Steel 

Please note that due to security and safety reasons, all guests must arrive and leave the Big River Steel site with the buses arranged by ResponsibleSteel. It will not be possible to book a taxi. Buses will depart from the Peabody Hotel (the journey time is approximately 1 hour). A lunch bag will be provided.

Apparel 

If you are attending the tour, you must follow the apparel guidelines below. If you do not meet these guidelines you will not be able to attend the tour. No exceptions.

Long pants are required. Shorts, skirts and dresses are not permitted.
Sturdy footwear is required. Sandals, heels, ballet style shoes, and open toed shoes are not permitted.

Everyone must wear:

  • Safety glasses with side shields, which we will provide for you. If you have your own, they must be OSHA compliant.
  • Hearing protection, which we will provide for you.
  • A flame-resistant jacket and a hard hat, which we will provide for you.
