ResponsibleSteel members are invited to a Members meeting on June 17-18, 2019 at The Last Drop at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
The purpose of the meeting is for Members and Associates to discuss the standards and certification programme in detail, and to learn more about the latest organisational developments and 2019/20 strategy.
Of specific interest will be feedback from the public consultation on the ResponsibleSteel Standard V4-0 and the opportunity to discuss the standard in advance of its finalisation and the formal ratification process over the following months.
The Meet the Members reception in the evening of June 17 will be held at the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit. Guests can meet the board, secretariat and other members while enjoying sweeping views of London, and even descend the world’s highest and, at 178m, the world’s longest tunnel slide.
Returning to The Last Drop for the second day, members will share an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, emissions, effluents, waste and related community impacts.
