Certification fees apply to certificate holders and are applicable to each individual certificate issued by ResponsibleSteel™. These fees are an important source of income to allow ResponsibleSteel™ to strengthen and keep promoting credibility in our certification programme.
Certification fees cover the costs to ResponsibleSteel™ of providing services for audit process management and certification maintenance and are revenue neutral.
Certification maintenance includes the provision of a communications toolkit, labelling verification mechanisms, claims tracking and analysis, complaints procedure management, and member support provided by ResponsibleSteel™.
The audit process costs cover the review of the audit plan, review of the audit report by the ResponsibleSteel™ Secretariat, review of the audit report by the Assurance Panel, implementation of the Oversight Mechanism, and support for certification bodies by ResponsibleSteel™.
Fees are charged in the calendar year following the certification. All values are in USD.
