ResponsibleSteel Certification Bodies

Audits against the ResponsibleSteel International Standard are completed by independent certification bodies. We work with certification bodies from around the world with the highest audit standards. All individual auditors also undergo training by ResponsibleSteel specifically on our Standard.

Become a ResponsibleSteel approved certification body

Certification bodies wishing to undertake audits against the ResponsibleSteel International Standard must first be approved by ResponsibleSteel. Becoming an approved certification body gives companies the opportunity to shape the steel industry, driving up sustainability standards

Complete and submit the certification body application form and supporting documentation to assurance@responsiblesteel.org.

The submitted information shall be reviewed by ResponsibleSteel or an appointed Oversight Body.

Once approved, individual auditors associated with a certification body can apply to become a ResponsibleSteel auditor and undergo training against our Standard.
