Audits

This page lists all audits against the ResponsibleSteel Standard. Stakeholders may contact the certification body of a specific site to let them know that they would like to provide input to the audit. An introduction for stakeholders to ResponsibleSteel audits can be found here.

Note that due to the Corona virus pandemic, a number of audits have been postponed or have not yet been completed.

Aperam Stainless Europe, Belgium and France

The stage 2 audits for the Aperam Stainless Europe sites in Belgium and France (see the list below) will be conducted between 14 and 18 June 2021. This stage will include site visits and interviews with company experts, workers and stakeholders.

The certification body for these Aperam sites is AFNOR Certification. You may let the certification body know via this link that you would like to provide input to the audit as a stakeholder.

ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany

The first part of the stage 2 audit for this ArcelorMittal site was conducted between 25 and 27 January 2021 and was done remotely due to the Corona virus situation. This included interviews with stakeholders and company experts. The stage 2 audit will be completed on 03 and 04 June 2021 and will include the site visit and worker interviews.

The certification body for this ArcelorMittal site is GUTcert. You may let the certification body know via this link that you would like to provide input to the audit as a stakeholder.

ArcelorMittal Luxembourg long carbon

The stage 2 audit for the ArcelorMittal sites in Belval, Differdange and Rodange was conducted between 29 March and 02 April 2021. This stage included site visits and interviews with company experts, workers and stakeholders. The audits have not yet been completed.

ArcelorMittal Bremen and Bottrop, Germany

The stage 2 audits for the Bremen and Bottrop sites of ArcelorMittal were conducted between 07 and 10 September 2020. This stage included site visits and interviews with company experts, workers and stakeholders. The audits have not yet been completed.

The certification body for these sites is GUTcert. You may let the certification body know via this link that you would like to provide input to the audits as a stakeholder.

ArcelorMittal Belgium

The stage 2 audits for the Belgium sites of ArcelorMittal (see the list below) were conducted between 17 and 21 February 2020.  This stage included site visits and interviews with company experts, workers and stakeholders. Note that due to the Corona virus outbreak, completion of the audits has been postponed.
