Membership fees
Membership fees are based on the type, size and/or purpose of an organisation. These fees help to support the good governance and operations of our globally recognised standards.
Heading

The annual membership fees we charge all our members are our main source of revenue. Your contribution helps support the good governance and operations of a globally recognised international standards organisation, allowing us to develop standards, engage with decision-makers, and work alongside other organisations.
Membership fees are based on an organisation's type, purpose, and annual revenue.

Please note that fees must be paid annually to remain a member of ResponsibleSteel.
Membership renewal invoices are sent out in December for payment in January. For any members approved to join ResponsibleSteel between July 1st and December 31st, there is a 50% reduction in the year of joining.
Please note, should a member wish to give notice to resign, membership would cease 90 days from the date of receipt by ResponsibleSteel of the notice as per Article 6.10 of ResponsibleSteel’s Constitution. If notice is given later than October 3rd, the member remains liable for payment of the membership fee for the following year in addition to any other sum owing to ResponsibleSteel at the time of cessation.
Membership fees reflect a member’s annual revenue. Members are asked to submit any changes in revenue which might impact a change in membership fee. Membership fees are subject to revision at the discretion of the ResponsibleSteel Board of Directors. Additional fees apply for steelmaking sites pursuing certification against the ResponsibleSteel International Production Standard.
